Itinerary:

DAY 1

Ouarzazate to Merzouga Sahara

Your 3-day desert tour from Ouarzazate starts with a morning pickup from your hotel or the airport. Visit Atlas Studios, famous for its movie sets, then explore the historic Taourirt Kasbah. Continue to Skoura and visit the beautiful Amridil Kasbah among the palm groves. Drive through the Rose Valley and continue to the scenic Dades Valley. Next, explore the impressive Todra Gorge and enjoy some free time for a walk and lunch. In the afternoon, continue to Merzouga. Enjoy a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes and stop to watch the desert sunset. Then reach your Sahara camp for dinner, Berber music, and a night under the stars. Overnight: Sahara desert camp.

DAY 2

Exploring Merzouga Region

Wake early to watch the beautiful Sahara sunrise. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel and meet your driver. Explore the desert region and visit an old kohl mine. Then meet a nomadic family and learn about their traditional lifestyle. Enjoy a cup of Berber tea before continuing to Khamlia village. Khamlia is famous for its Gnawa music and local traditions. After lunch, visit a palm grove and Merzouga Lake, also known as Flamingo Lake. Return to your hotel in the evening and enjoy dinner and a relaxing night in Merzouga. Overnight: Merzouga hotel.

DAY 3

Merzouga to Marrakech via Draa Valley

After breakfast, travel to Rissani and explore its traditional souk. Continue through Alnif and the scenic Draa Valley, with its palm groves and desert landscapes. After lunch, visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has appeared in films and TV shows such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Explore the old village before crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass through the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening. Your driver will drop you at your hotel, marking the end of your 3-day Ouarzazate to Merzouga desert tour.
