DAY 1

Arrival in Casablanca

Your 7-day Morocco tour from Casablanca begins with pickup from the airport, port, or your accommodation. Start with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, located beside the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and taste traditional Moroccan cuisine. If time allows, take a walk along the Corniche and enjoy views of the ocean. Dinner and overnight in Casablanca.

DAY 2

Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen

After breakfast, drive north to Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. Visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. After lunch, continue through the scenic countryside towards Chefchaouen. Arrive in the famous Blue City and explore its charming streets and mountain setting. Dinner and overnight in Chefchaouen.

DAY 3

Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

After breakfast, enjoy a morning walk through the blue streets of Chefchaouen. Then continue to Volubilis, an ancient Roman city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its ruins, columns, and impressive mosaics. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Visit Bab Mansour, Sahrij Souani, the Royal Stables, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Later, travel to Fes for overnight in a traditional riad.

DAY 4

Full-Day Guided Tour of Fes

After breakfast, enjoy a full guided tour of Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities. Visit the Royal Palace gates before entering the UNESCO-listed Medina through Bab Boujloud. Explore the Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, traditional tanneries, and Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and University. Continue to the Mellah, the historic Jewish Quarter, before enjoying a panoramic view of Fes. Return to your riad for overnight.

DAY 5

Fes - Ifrane - Cedars Forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga

After breakfast, travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Continue to the cedar forest, where you may see Barbary macaques. Stop in Midelt for lunch before driving through the scenic Ziz Valley and its palm-filled oasis. In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Begin your camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Stop on a high dune to watch the sunset before reaching your desert camp. Enjoy dinner, Berber music, and a night under the stars.

DAY 6

Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

Wake up early for sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4 and continue to Rissani. Explore its traditional souk and local market. Then visit Erfoud, famous for fossils and fossil workshops. Continue through the palm groves towards the Todra Gorges. Walk between the impressive red cliffs and enjoy the scenery. In the afternoon, continue to the Dades Valley, with a stop at the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations. Dinner and overnight in Dades.

DAY 7

Dades Valley - Rose Valley - Skoura - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, drive through the Rose Valley and visit Kalaa M’Gouna, famous for its rose products and annual Rose Festival. Continue through the palm groves of Skoura and towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Then visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous filming location. After the visit, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Enjoy scenic views and photo stops before arriving in Marrakech.   • This tour is best done during the spring (March to May) and the autumn (September to November). Autumn and spring are fine seasons since the climate is not extremely hot; thus, it is suitable for moving around different areas of Morocco. Summer may be hot especially when touring the desert and conversely at night the winter may be very cold.

  • Breakfast is offered for every day and two dinners for the duration of the stay, and represents Moroccan traditional food. Breakfasts and dinners are excluded; this means that during the transfer, you can taste real local cuisine. However, on this special tour you will be attending a night in the desert camp having a magnificent dinner which will be accompanied with Berber music and dance show under the stars.

  • When attending the show don’t forget to dress comfortably for the hot summer days and maybe a warm sweater for colder evening in the desert. Each camper should have either a torch or headlamp when going out in the camp at night. Also, do not leave out Sunglasses and sunscreen, a hat or cap for a shade. It is also important to take a small bag for day trip or adventures as well. Last but not least, you need to have a camera to capture great images of the desert.
