Itinerary:

DAY 1

Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Your 3-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour starts with an early pickup from your hotel, riad, or Marrakech airport. Drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Enjoy panoramic views and photo stops along the way. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs. Explore its old streets and traditional clay buildings, also featured in films such as Gladiator. After lunch in Ouarzazate, continue through the Skoura palm groves and Rose Valley. Arrive in the Dades Valley in the evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2

Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Camel Trekking

After breakfast, explore the Dades Valley and continue to the impressive Todra Gorges. Walk through the narrow canyon and admire its towering red cliffs. Continue through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, with a lunch stop along the way. In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga and begin your camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Stop on a high dune to watch the sunset before continuing to your desert camp. Enjoy dinner, Berber music, and a night under the stars.

DAY 3

Merzouga – Erfoud – Ifrane – Fe

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4 and meet your driver. Continue to Rissani to explore its traditional souk and local atmosphere. Then visit Erfoud, famous for fossils and fossil workshops. Drive through the scenic Ziz Valley before stopping for lunch in Midelt. Continue through the Middle Atlas cedar forests, where you may see Barbary macaques. Finally, visit Ifrane, known for its European-style architecture, before arriving in Fes.
