Our 8-day tour from Marrakech starts once you arrive in Marrakech. You will be met by our English-speaking guide and taken to your hotel or riad. Marrakech is referred to as the red city due to its being a tad more energetic than other cities in Morocco. After you get to your hotel or other form of accommodation, the rest of the day is going to be yours to wander around. Take a tour of the narrow, dry-up alleys of the medina, meet with tourists and locals, and have a feeling of the energetic dances, calls from charmers for attention with their snakes, and food sellers in the most memorable Jemaa el-Fna square. In the evening, have a Moroccan dinner in one of the restaurants here, and then transfer back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Further on, Marrakech’s atmosphere and constant movement on the streets, filled with an oriental spirit, will enthral your senses. In fact, the city is a perfect mix of traditions and modernity, so it will be a perfect start to your journey.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

For the second day of your 8-day tour from Marrakech, we drive to the High Atlas Mountains, passing by the Tizi-N-Tichka pass on the way. The route provides spectacular views of mountains and Berber peoples’ homes and terraced fields on the slopes of the mountains. Our first attraction is the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – a stunning site included in the list of World Heritage by UNESCO. Alas, this beautiful kasbah has not only been used as a backdrop to such motion pictures as Gladiator, but also represents Morocco’s history. Then we proceed to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Desert” and famous for its studios. At this place, you can learn about the history of the occupation by visiting the Atlas studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. Last but not least, you will take dinner and an overnight accommodation at Ouarzazate.

Also, this day is a suitable combination of historical study and instances of geographical phenomena. Also, there will be an interesting sightseeing during the journey towards the mountains.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

On the third day of this 8-day tour from Marrakech, we go from Ouarzazate and then through the striking Dades Gorges, where we encounter the painted stones known as the ‘Monkey toes’. We proceed to the Todra Gorges, which is a bewildering canyon that houses red Rock giants. You may go for a walk along the river and admire the size of the gorges here to the fullest. Then we drive towards Merzouga, where the immense desert of the Sahara lands us. During arrival, you disembark and transfer to camels, where you proceed for a cultural sunset trek on the dunes of Erg Chebbi. This will be succeeded by a night in an exclusive desert camp with oriental Berber music around the campfire. In fact, you will not believe that the patterned night sky and absolute silence of the desert include the same notion.

As such, we will transport you from the mountains to the desert in what might arguably be Morocco’s most diverse day.
