8 Days Tour From Marrakech to Morocco Imperial Cities

Our 8 days tour from Marrakech starts once you arrive in Marrakech, you will be met by our English speaking guide and taken to your hotel or riad. Marrakech is referred to as the red city due to it being a tad more energetic than other cities in Morocco. After you get to your hotel or other form of accommodation, the rest of the day is going to be yours to wander around. On the third day of this 8 days tour from Marrakech, we go from Ouarzazate and then through the striking Dalles of Dades where we encounter the painted stones known as the ‘Monkey toes’. Later, you’ll have your breakfast at the camping then start your foot tour around the Merzouga zone. It is a region of many attractions such as the eyeliner mine, the fossil grounds, and wonderful oasis. Further you will follow a local nomad’s family and witness the traditional way of their living. There, we can attend a show of Gnaoua music style that originated in sub-Saharan area and define ourselves in the village of Khamlia. Later as in the afternoon, we will visit the palm groves and the wild Merzouga lake called the Flamingo lake. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at comfortable hotel in Merzouga.

Our journey for the fifth day entails a visit by car from Merzouga to Fes through Erfoud palm grove and Ziz valley. then we have a lunch break at Midelt and then head to our next destination through the Middle Atlas Mountain. We then go to the cedar forests near Azrou where one can feed the Barbery monkeys In the area and enjoy the serenity. It’s then on to Ifrane, which has a predominantly European feel and a reputation for a climate that is cooler than the rest of Moroccan, with the nickname of  ‘the Switzerland of Morocco’. Last we end in Fes where you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

In the morning after the breakfast we shall proceed for a full day tour of Fes which is one of the oldest medieval city in the world. It is a world heritage site town and prides itself in a wealth of history and architecture. First we stop by the gates of the Royal Palace then stroll through the medina starting with the Bab Boujloud, the blue gate. We will then proceed to the Medrasa Bouanania, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the ancient tannery of leather goods with natural colours. Additionally, we will visit the Quaraouine Mosque and University, it is the oldest university in the whole world. Last of all, we will go into the Jewish area to see the Jewish architecture style also, Khazar fortress for the breathtaking view of the city. The day ends with dinner in your riad.

Of course, Fes is a historical and culturally interesting city that provides the traditional feeling of Morocco; hence, visiting Fes is a must.

In the morning we depart Fes and drive to Casablanca which is the largest and the economic capital of Morocco. When in Casablanca, we will look at the massive Hassan II Mosque, which is one of the world’s largest mosques. It includes a tall minaret and magnificent structures and is therefore an interesting place to visit. Also, you will have some leisure time to visit the area along the coast, Corniche in particular as well as to feel the pulse of this rapidly developing city. Finally, you will have a dinner then spend the night at casablanca.

The 8 day tour comes to an end with an airport drop off after which you can take your flight home.
